During the Military operations in North Waziristan in 2014-15, a massive influx of IDPs towards Bannu KPK, Pakistan led to an urgent need of Neonatal and Maternity care. There was no neonatal unit atBannu Zenana hospital. We focussed on getting equipment for a neonatal nursery i.e Incubators, phototherapy lamps, Resuscitaires, infants cots, washing machine and towels for delivery care. We supplied consumables too for Neonatal Life Support and imparted basic training with neonate and adult manikins. BLS and NLS algorithms and protocols introduced to mainly midwifes and medical students and junior docs. Lectures were also arranged for staff guidance &teaching.Project was completed under supervision of Dr Yasmeen Hasnain.
